Description
High ranking officers of the Chinese Empire, known as Mandarins, where offered the Tangerine fruit. Versions of Mandarin Orange were introduced to Europe, Brazil and the United States in the late 1800’s. “These “New World Mandarins” came to be known as Tangerines. The Tangerine came to the United States from the ancient Chinese gardens through Europe. It's nickname "Dancy Tangerine" is named after Colonel G. L. Dancy, who commenced growing the Tangerine from seeds in the southern states of America in 1871. Mandarin and Tangerine have the same botanical origins, however, different growing environments and cultivation practices harvested two oranges with essential oils that are different in chemical and aromatic characteristics. Both these uniquely delightful oils are offered as different treatments. The tangerine's aroma is sweet citrusy and yields an uplift within it first burst. Tangerine's aroma provides assistance when one is adjusting and adapting to life's changes. This is supported by its ability to calm nerves. Great for soothing emotional stress.
